Yesterday I was woken to the surprise of my life! My darling Otto showed up at my house, I had no clue he was coming, and supposedly it has been planned for about a month! All of my family, and some of my friends, knew he was coming and managed to keep it from me. I've missed Otto so much, so he came to be with me a little more before the wedding to keep me happy! :) It's so great to have him here!

Here's a picture we took on the webcam when he got here. More pics to come, for sure!

Tonight I met a long lost friend, Brenda. She is the sweetest old lady in the world. Her charm and zeal for life is always contagious. I haven't seen her since she moved out of our suite about 3 years ago. She was my introduction to the possibilities of singing, giving me my first voice lessons. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture with her tonight because I forgot my camera! I'll be sure to grab one at the wedding!

Now I'm just here relaxing with a nice glass of Rose wine and facebook!

Have a great night you all! And happy Friday!

This morning I came across one of my most favorite creatures of all time!

All I can say is.....it's been a long, long while since I've last posted; so much has happened in the past year and a bit. I am attempting to pick up my blog again and keep on.
First off, I'd like to introduce one of the biggest, and most wonderful things that's happened in my life; I have myself a man. :)

Not only is Otto Phelps my bestest friend in the world, but he is also the man I am soon to marry! On June 29, 2013, I will be known as Tanaya Phelps!

In the summer of 2011, just shortly before I started this blog, I went on a mission trip to Poland along with about 30 other people.

These people were from my church, our sister churches in Anchorage, Alaska; Portland, Oregon; and Tokyo, Japan. We met up with pastors from our sister churches in Poznan and Gdansk, Poland. Our ministry consisted mostly of forming a choir, "Choral Gaudete", and singing throughout the streets of Poland. Long story short, Otto was one of the young men from the Alaskan church who came along with his father, the pastor of the church.

My Dad, Otto and I on a train to Gdank, Poland!

From that time onwards we have gotten to know each other through email, skype and phone calls.
We had a romantic picnic on the beach when he came to visit me on June 5, 2012, and that's when he proposed!

It's been a long engagement and sometimes very hard because of the distance, but we're making it through and will be married in 38 days!

Here are just some pictures from our engagement shoot, hard to choose which ones I like the best!

And just a fun one I took on my crappy phone camera.

Just hope and pray that I can keep up with this! I want to be able to post updates on my new family and my new home in Alaska!

Cheers!

So it looks like I've kind of neglected my poor blog for awhile. lol I am going to try and keep going with this and not let it go like alot of other things. A few days ago our family went to Granville Island and I found quite the fascination for the seagulls there! I happened to catch one right in mid-yawn! I love the market there. Found alot of interesting things to take pictures of...
